Interested in Baptism? We will be having a baptism class on Tuesday August 13th at 6pm. If you are wanting to get baptized or just curious to know more, please let a staff member know or email the office. On August 18th at 10am we will have a congregational meeting to approve the nominating committee. With the change of our fiscal year, and a flip of our two yearly meetings, this was missed at our May Business Meeting. This meeting will take place between our two Sunday morning services. If you come to the 9am service plan to stay a few minutes longer, and if you come to the 10:45am service plan to come a bit early that Sunday. Adherents and members are welcome, only members can vote. For more infomation visit:

GLOBAL WORKERSR & M R and M worked in a creative access country in N Africa for a number of years, and are now working from a base in Europe. R&M’s focus is seeing healthy, Christ-centered churches planted across North Africa. Their role is creating content and visuals (through photography, video, and writing) that help support church-planting efforts on the ground. R & M relate this story of their recent move to Italy: "After nearly six months of living in a guest apartment (and two years since we moved from North Africa) we finally found an apartment here in Italy. One thing we have discovered about living in Italy is there is a lot of bureaucracy. The apartment we were moving into had been empty for several months so it didn't seem strange to us that there was no gas or electricity. However, when we tried to get it turned back on we found that we were denied because the previous tenants had not paid their utility bills for a long time. I even went in person to several companies and all denied us. With no access to the previous tenants, even our realtor was unsure how to proceed. The landlord at the guest apartment (where we had been living) told us that they had a friend who worked at one of the electric companies (one that I had tried to set up an account with in person but they told me it wasn't possible) and so, with nothing to lose, we reached out to them. The other hiccup in the whole process was that we were told that in order to get the gas turned on we had to find out who the previous gas supplier was. I spent one day contacting over 20 different gas suppliers (in my weak Italian) over the phone with no success. We were still a the guest apartment because we couldn't move into the new one without electric and gas, but we had new teammates arriving in less than a week who were supposed to move into the guest apartment! We spent a lot of time praying together as a family, with our kids earnestly praying several times that Jesus would turn on the electricity so we could move to our new home. “Pray for increased stamina as we continue with our language learning and wisdom as we work on creating systems and processes for our role. This is the more tedious part of our role but very important! The past two months have involved putting our language to good use as we've navigated school registration (for our oldest), correcting documentation, doctor appointments, and now all of the red tape that goes into acquiring an apartment and setting everything up. Since we've chosen not to get a car for the foreseeable future we are learning the ropes of public transportation and have also started riding bike places (we have a baby bike seat and bike cart for the kids)." |
