On August 18^th at 10am we will have a congregational meeting to approve the nominating committee. With the change of our fiscal year, and a flip of our two yearly meetings, this was missed at our May Business Meeting. 

This meeting will take place between our two Sunday morning services. If you come to the 9am service plan to stay a few minutes longer, and if you come to the 10:45am service plan to come a bit early that Sunday. Adherents and members are welcome, only members can vote. 

James and Kristina Braim are serving with Mission Aviation Fellowship in Tarakan, Indonesia.

"Since moving to Tarakan almost two years ago, we have been attending an Indonesian church that was originally started here by the Christian Missionary Alliance. This church is one of MAF’s primary local partners in this area of Indonesia, and through their partnership, we are able to serve people living in isolated communities in this region. It is so exciting to work alongside them and be able to provide the necessary transportation for their outreach programs and other initiatives. While this church regularly demonstrates an emphasis on outreach and serving others, they are currently having a special focus on missions for the whole month of August. Each Sunday this month, the church services are focused on the value of outreach, and people from the church congregation represent their ethnic heritage through traditional dress and songs. It is remarkable to see the rich cultural heritage that exists in Indonesia, a nation where over 700 different languages are spoken and there are more than 1300 different ethnic groups! Our MAF team was also asked to represent our culture by singing a Christian song in English and explaining a little about its significance. We feel so privileged to be a part of this body of believers who demonstrates God’s heart for people from every tribe, tongue, and nation. Even though we are not fluent yet in Indonesian and sometimes there are words in the songs and sermons that we do not understand, we are grateful for the opportunity to grow in our faith and serve others alongside this church congregation. Thank you for the vital role you play in enabling this ministry to continue so that people living in isolated communities of Indonesia can experience the love of God!
