Youth Ministry
It's SMALL GROUP WEEK!!! Check with your leaders as to where you're meeting!! Parenting is challenging, at times confusing, and often lonely. Or so I have heard, and am sure will one day learn. Our desire as a church is to equip you and connect you to raise your kids in the Way of Jesus through every stage of life. This is why we have started Youth Parent Connects. These events are not a time where we are going to teach you how to parent (I have zero experience or authority there); but they are a time to come together and learn. We want you to meet other parents who are in the same trenches of parenting as you, but with their own perspective and wisdom. We hope you can encourage one another, sharpen one another, and bear each other's burdens. All of this in the context of receiving information on relevant cultural and theological topics that impact the faith formation of teens today, which you then apply together in your homes and communities. We hope these events will strengthen you, connect you, and allow you to see your teens become more like Jesus in the long run. |
Hope You Can Join Us!!
If you know a young adult.. please share this event with them!! |

Darryl & Katie Elliot
In the last couple months, we feel that God has been teaching us (yet again!) about the power of prayer and relying solely on Him for our needs. And that He cares even for the small things. Since we had returned in August, power had been inconsistent and unreliable. The one working generator was only big enough to run the hospital. So offices, schools and homes had no power during the day. This also made sleeping at night difficult. In October, a new generator that was big enough to run the whole campus had arrived, and shortly after a team came to install it. They were here for 3 weeks putting it all together. However, there were several issues and they couldn't get it working. They tried everything to fix it and with less than 48 hours left in Liberia they were pretty hopeless. A group of us had gotten together to pray and we can testify that God answered our prayers! In less than an hour we received word that the generator was working. The guys working on the generator couldn't explain why because they hadn't done anything before trying to run it one more time. It certainly felt like a modern day miracle! Prayer Requests:
