1 Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ to further the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness— 2 in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time, 3 and which now at his appointed season he has brought to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior, 4 To Titus, my true son in our common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.

The message of Jesus moves through people and relationships.

1. What insight, principle or observation from this week’s message did you find to be most helpful, eye opening or troubling? Please explain.
2. Alvin mentioned that the Christian faith is based not in fantasy but in history. Why is this important? Why is it important that there is a realness to our faith that goes beyond just thought, worldview and belief but leads to action?
3. Read Titus 1:1-4. Verse 1 lays out Paul and what he is all about…furthering the faith of others. If that is the call of the Christian, how would you say you are doing in that currently.
4. Verse one also shows that our real, physical, historical faith shows up in real ways, it ends in increased godliness. Read Titus 2:11-12. How would you define that change to godliness mentioned here?
5. Alvin mentioned that the message of Jesus moves through people and relationships. Who moved it in you? How did they invest the faith into you? This week, send a note, email, or message thanking the person or people who built faith into you in significant ways.
6. If the message of Jesus moves through people and relationships, who are you moving it to today? How are you doing that? What could you do to become more intentional in ‘your world’ with the message of Jesus?

The Christian faith is based not in fantasy but in history.
There is no room in the Christian faith for thought without practice.
There is no room in the Christian faith for truth without fruit.
Titus 1:11,12
11 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. And here is what the grace that brings salvations accomplishes… 12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,
The message of Jesus moves through people and relationships
This leaves us with two practical questions.
One answer will be an encouragement, and one a challenge.
Who moved it in you? and Who are you moving it to? Who is your Titus.

This week take time to consider "Who moved it in you?" and reach out to them to thank them.
Also consider "Who are you moving it to?" Take time to prayerfully consider who you can share the gospel with, and do it
